Remember when i mentioned the guy, with the pretty boy grin. The one from my first "Glad I'm not you" post. Well, the plot thickens my friends...
Shortly after that post, i get a phone call. At that point I've only e-mailed a few people my new cell phone number. I'm eating my chicken dinner when suddenly the phone rings. I wipe the grease of my hands and pick up my phone "Yeah, what-" (I'm irritated because someone interrupted the sacred hour of the chicken dinner). Suddenly i hear this wild voice on the other side of the line. "Yeah, it's me Carlos!" I squint my eyes thinking i could hear better. "Who?!"
Yes, my dear reader, the Audio/visual guy with the pretty boy grin called me up! "I read your blog". I reply with a "Aha...really?" At this point I'm ready for verbal abuse. Let the death threats and F-bombs proceed.
AV-guy aka Carlos: I read your blog and i really liked it! I think it's special you can write up your feelings like that!
Me: -(still squinting).............................................................................?HUH?!
Now, if you read that particular piece about him in Glad i'm not you! Part 1, you can see i wasn't exactly nice to him. Turns out he was cool about it. I explained to him that i didn't mean to rip him a new one. I was just frustrated at the time, that i just wanted to vent but if i wronged him in anyway that I'd apologize. We than had a long talk and it turns out he was having a tough time too. I felt like an even bigger idiot after hearing that.
There is now, no more crap between us (there never was actually). We are going to help each other out with projects and hang out.
Today, I interviewed him (for a dutch web-site). I'm happy with the result, he's happy with it too. We took a picture for the blog and said our goodbyes and promised to stay connected for future projects.
Now on this picture, his smile is pretty weak actually. Usually, he's like THIS. I guess, he's a little camera shy because after the picture was taken he was all like THIS again. Also, notice my attempt to do the pretty boy grin. Yes, my friends. I failed miserably.

As, i walked back in to the city, i thought about the power of a million dollar smile. I could tell you about it but let me give you an example. Let me illustrate:

There was actually a point to all of this but i forgot. Oh, well. I'm happy that my network of film makers and AV/guys and girls is growing. Before you know it, I'm showing you pics, clips and making of's on this blog. New projects are brewing...i think it's actually going to happen this time...

Oh, yes Bela, i was ashamed. I talked crap about someone that didn't deserve it at all. I'm glad it all worked out in the end. He's actually an old classmate of mine, so we know each other already. Well, Johnny... that's a truth... pacience is a virtue. And to illustrate that, i can tell you my own example. This year is the 6th time that i try to get in the medicine college. I can already say that i'm a really patient girl. But, you know, i know that if i won't have plenty pacience i will never achieve my goal, that is become a doctor. Everybody has something good expecting for them somewhere. You have only to have the necessary patience to receive it. Hope i receive mine this year and hope you receive yours very soon too! ^^

We’ve all been guilty of making snap assumptions of people especially when our mood is low and we have all experienced the same done to ourselves it’s just human nature but you showed great dignity in apologising for your outburst. It’s good it all worked out in the end and your network is expanding in the film game you need to always have an expanding network I have found.
It's surprising how much crap you can clear if you just talk to each other. Just simply talk to each other. Things worked out fine. Now, i hope to work something out with the people I'm connecting with. I'm dying to make a new film! Thanks for the wise comment my friend!
