What the hell?!

What the hell was that?! Yesterday, i was about to reply on the comments of my latest post and all of a sudden, all of my comments are missing in action. I click on the link again and now my blog page is loading as if it's chillin', smoking that "herb" and listening to that "Mary Jane" song.

I go to the Intense Debate website and naturally the site doesn't work. So, this comment plug-in I was so glad about, was messing up all my stuff. I click reload and now, my whole page doesn't load anymore.

Now, i start panicking, because next to this blog i pretty much have no life, and you know this man! I decided, to wait another day. "Perhaps it'll be fixed in the morning". No such luck. The next morning Intense Debate is still acting like a bi-itch.

Luckily, i saved an earlier version of my blog template. Re-loaded that one but unfortunately lost all of my comments. Right around that same moment, Intense Debate is fixed. So, i re-load the new template and all of the comments are back.

I've searched high and low on the net, what the hell could be happening. Turns out, Intense Debate isn't all that. It's buggy as hell and a lot of people have trouble with it. I'm keeping ID for now but if this keeps happening, I'm ditching it. I am considering DISQUS, already. If that one acts up too, than it's back to the standard comment system.

Promoting fancy comment systems is cool and all but it's nicer if these things work flawlessly!

The glitch-iness of these comment systems is the main reason I’ve stuck by the old way of getting comments. At least it has all worked out in the end and you didn’t lose your head to badly, I had my blog hacked into last year and the person responsible left pop ups and everything you clicked on redirected you to his blog and it was a real hassle to prove my legit ownership of my own blog to regain control of it. These are the troubles we bloggers go through in our pursuit of getting our thoughts out there into cyber space. Hopefully that was the last of the comment problems for you.

You are correct. I've managed to salvage what i could. Most of the comments are a bit out of order but i still have them. It was a head ache importing these ID comments to Disqus. I too hope this is the last of the comment troubles. I wanted to make things easier for the readers, instead I'm making it harder for my self. Here is what i don't understand, why would anyone, go through such lengths to sabotage the blog of someone else? These guys amaze me. Too much time on their hands!
Thanks for stopping by Andrew! :)

Hey Tim. You can delete this post because I'm only posting this because I couldn't find a contact me page on your blog. I wanted to ask you if you used a widget for your comments setup. I really like it and I want to make mine similar to this. Thanks!
